Juno wot?
A light hearted and sometimes serious look at the world according to The Career Practice…
Juno wot?…..
I have a fantastic picture on my office wall of an old duck on a swing that sums me up perfectly…. “Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional”.
A great example is probably the oldest person I’ve coached; I’ll call him Mr A.
Mr A was brilliant, full of life and great fun and in his mid 70s so yes you’ve guessed it, everyone thought he was “past it”. Well we know better and of course he went on to have even more adventures and “gave back” through public service.
What I loved though was when, on our second meeting, he announced that he had to leave a bit early because he had to go and see his father (mid 90s) who had just flown in from India and their plan was to meet up for a drink before a spot of sightseeing! Fabulous!
And who says age is a barrier?
